Lake Tahoe is everything to Zach. His home away from home, his childhood memories, and more importantly the place where he asked his best friend to marry him. It wasn’t even a question, Hannah and Zach knew from the start that they were going to get married in Lake Tahoe. After venue hunting they chose the beautiful Hellman-Ehrman Mansion. Sitting right on the lake, this summer home was built in 1903 and was considered to be one of the finest in the high Sierra.
With a fabulous team and a bride with an eye for style, this wedding was a dream! Any wedding can have beautiful decor, or an incredible view, but not every wedding can have the love and joy I felt on Hannah and Zach’s big day.
When I was younger my mom always taught me “actions speak louder than words”, and I think that is why I love destination weddings so much. You physically get to see how loved the couple is, with family going to extreme measures to be apart of the biggest day of your life.
This was a semi-destination wedding for most guests, with loved ones flying in from England and other parts of the U.S. They all gathered on the edge of the lake watching these two love birds finally tie the knot, with their dog Ella by their side.
Hannah wore a beautiful lace gown by Martina Liana and it flowed so well with her bridesmaids dusty rose dresses. The whole wedding whispered elegance and truly looked like it came from a fairytale book.
The night was ended with a cotton candy sunset, photos on the dock, and some intense dance offs under the California stars.
