Camille has always loved butterflies, ever since she was a small child. So, it was fitting that at the end of the ceremony they had a butterfly release with all of their guests. As I watched and photographed Camille and Jim’s excitement letting their butterfly go, I felt a serene peace and understanding about these two. Jim is Camille’s butterfly, and she is his. They are vibrant together, their energy is contagious and it’s hard not to smile around these two. Jim will have anyone laughing within a minute of meeting him and Camille will shower you with joy immediately.  As the guests stared in wonder at the butterflies flying away, I realized that is how these newlyweds stare at each other all of the time. What a beautiful thing to have and to witness.

Camille and Jim’s wedding day was nothing short than perfect. It was held at The Four Seasons in Scottsdale and hosted family and friends from all over the country. Everyone enjoyed the pre-ceremony cocktail hour and gawked at the immaculate reception decor. Seriously, the most beautiful drapes and chandeliers hung from the night sky while laughter filled the air. After dinner was finished everyone moved inside for a few hours of dancing and dessert. This was my first wedding where I saw the old wedding tradition of a “grooms cake”. After they cut the beautiful tiered white cake, Jim was surprised by his own grooms cake in the shape of a beer can. In Jim fashion he picked it right up and “drank” from the can. It was hilarious and I can’t help to wonder how much Camille must constantly laugh in their home.

This couple, this wedding, everything was perfect! And I of course could not thank the amazing team of vendors enough. They all did such a phenomenal job and I was so blessed to work with them through this day.
